In Puzzle A, the wrong letter appears in each of the words clued: L is T, cluing the word "list." In each line of Puzzle B, you get from the word clued on the left to the word clued on the right by changing an A to P, cluing the word "atop." In each line of Puzzle C, you can get the word clued on either side of the blanks depending on whether you enter a W or D, cluing the word "word."
When you arrange these answers in reverse order (C B A), you get the instruction "word atop list." In the first list presented in the puzzle, the word on the top is "attitude."
